Experience This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
Question Well i have an acer computer, i bouth it from circuit city. i had it since septmber of 2006 and two months ago the computer just started to shut off. i mean im in the midde of something and it shuts off. and when i try to put it back on, it wont go on so i have to wait like 5 minutes for it to come back on again. and when it does come back on i use it for like 10 minutes then the computer just shuts off again,, so whenever i use it, it shuts off. i dont know the reason y and dont know how it happeded. i even restarted the computer to its factory settings but still it just shuts down. i cant seem to figure out the problem.

The first thing that comes to mind is check under the cover for dust, especially near/on the fans. Invest in a can of air to clean the dust out. It could also be the power supply or memory going, but try cleaning first.
