Question Hi Doug, a friend of mine is facing a serious virus+spy ware problem, no anti virus software was installed on his computer. He asked me to do the remote scanning by connecting his PC to mine. My question is, can it be done ? how ? any advice you are able to provide would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Answer Hi Eric,
It could be done thru a program like GoToMyPC. You would have to set it up and I dont think its free anymore. It may have a trail version.
Why not just send him to a good Help Forum like MajorGeeks.
He will have to dnload and run the Hijack This Program and then register at the Forum and submit the log results.
They are really good people there and will help.
It may take a little time as its thru Forum posts but its free and he can expect good results.
And of course, he needs to get a good AntiVirus program ASAP.
