My antivirus software is AVG. For three days now, an alert appears on my PC screen almost every five minutes. It looks like an advertisement of some sorts from the software company, and I have not been able to remove it, not without having to pay for removing it.  I tried to remove the software to re-install, but the alert remains. Can you please assist me to resolve this nagging alert.

The AVG update on the 10th of this month should have been able to remove this rogue.
