My virus scanner has detected a tracking cookie and trojan horse which I think is called fixcamera.exe. At the moment I don't have any software to remove them, but can they be used to find out my ebay/paypal details like my password?
Answer Hi Chris,
This showed up about 3 yrs ago and it was never really decided if it was Malware or not.
I'd dnload and CCleaner and see if it cleans it up.
When it scans and asks you what you want to delete, look for these facts.
FixCamera.exe is located in the Windows folder, but it is not a Windows core file. The program is loaded during the Windows boot process (see Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run).
If this does not work, let me know. You may need to dnload and run "Hijack This" and then submit the log to a good help Forum.
