Computer Security & Viruses/avg8

Question
why does it take nearly 2 hours to run a scan with avg8

Answer
1. You have a large hard drive
2. The settings in AVG are set to scan the whole computer. From within the program you can set it to only scan certain areas.
3. I do not set my AVG on the auto scan. I scan my PC, unless it is acting unusual, approximately once per month and set it to scan and then turn off. All these settings are under "computer scanner" settings in the AVG interface.

Let me know if this helped.
