QUESTION: please help!
 Lately when i use google or msn, my computer will redirect me to another page.Sometimes are worse than others. I've ran my antivirus and spyware programs but nothing is helping. got any advice?

You do have a few nasties running.  It will be best to exit all other anti-malware programs (Norton, Webroot) before running the following scan. Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop from here:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
      o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
      o and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
* then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste that log here, and also run HijackThis once again and copy the new log here as well.

Hi Liana

The scan removed one browser redirect program, but the computer still seems to be infected by others.  Please print out and follow the following instructions:

First check that this is the 32 bit version of Vista. Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and go to Properties. In the Basic Information window under System, the System Type should be 32-bit operating system.

If it is 32-bit, then follow this. If it is 64-bit, please let me know and don't go past this point.

Malware removal is handled differently in Vista so it is important that the procedures are followed carefully.

Now we need to make sure to turn off UAC ( UAC = User Account Control )

- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.
- If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
- Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK. If it is already uncheck, then you should also notice a red shield with an X in it located in your system tray. Ignore any mesages about UAC being disabled.
- Click Restart Now to apply the change right away. (Restart even if you did not make the above change, we need to be sure that a reboot has occurred since the first time that UAC was disabled.)

*****NOTE: DO NOT CONTINUE UNTIL UAC has been disabled and you have ***rebooted***


Disable Windows Defender while we are doing the cleaning procedures.

Open Windows Defender from the Start menu. Click on Tools > Options and select Administrator Options. Uncheck the "Use Windows Defender" box. Confirm that you do indeed want to do this, click Close,

Download ComboFix from one of these links to your Desktop.

Close any open windows, browsers and email programs and instant messaging

Right click your antivirus program icon in the system and select "Disable" or "Exit". You will get a warning from Windows Security, ignore that. Some Antivirus programs interfere with Combofix running and prevent it running properly.

If you use Spybot Search and Destroy's Teatimer feature please disable it before running Combofix.

WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.

If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore the connection.

Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts. Do not use the keyboard or mouse while Combofix is running.

When it has finished it produces a report. Post the contents of that report back into this thread. It may take two or three posts.

If you need to restart your computer to reconnect to the internet, the combofix report is here:

Right click the file and select Open. It will open in Notepad. You can copy and paste direct from Notepad.

Re-enable your antivirus, but leave Windows Defender and UAC disabled until the cleaning is finished.
