Hi Keith,
My OS is XP and I would like your expert opinion on a few products that I use and, if you do not like a certain set-up that I have, your recommendation:

(1) AntiVirus: I use Hauri ViRobot Desktop 5.5 and also the free version of ThreatFire (from PC Tools)- Both programs are always on and run together.

(2) Adware/Spyware Protection: In addition to the above I also frequently run a scan with Ad-Aware (Lavasoft).

(3) Registry Maintenance and general PC Tune-up: I use CCleaner and System Mechanic 6.

1. I honestly have never heard of the anti-virus software you mentioned. This does not mean it is not good. I find something that works well and stick with it. I use AVG free edition. www.grisoft.com

2. I have used Ad-aware before and it is very good. I also use Spybot search and destroy. Using the two together works well. You can get Spybot s & d from www.filehippo.com

3. CCleaner is a good program that I use often. I have never used System Mechanic.

I also use a firewall called Online Armor which is very good. I used ZoneAlarm in the past and also recommend it.

I haven't had any viruses or spyware in the past 6 years using the programs I listed.
Looks like you are on the right track.
