Question
Hi Brian,

I am working on a interactive piece for students on cds but I do not want people to cash in with it by copying it free. How can I make it impossible for people to copy it with my consent? can you also suggest an appropriate software for my work. I want students to answer qestions and receive feedback automatically etc.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks

Francis

Answer
Hello Francis

Not to sound harsh, but every major software developer has added one form of copy protection or another to their products for the last decade, only to have that protection broken.  If someone wants a copy, there are hundreds of tools available online to do it.  But if you still want to have a go at it, see the site below for further reading and links to encryption software:

The software you need to use depends on your project.  Try a google search for "create an interactive cd" or "create an interactive dvd".  You will see many programs and ideas for your project.  Good luck.

Brian
