Question hello...i have a problem with internet connection - often my internet connection will just disconnect - when i reconnect it (sometimes i have to physically unplug the modem and then plug it back in), all is fine except that i cannot open any web pages, any email, nothing....when i attempt to open a web page, it flashes up at the bottom of the page WINDOWS32 SHOCK ERROR and then a little more text (which disappears too fast to read it all) - the only way to then get the web pages email etc to work is to reboot the whole pc, even tho my modem is showing an internet connection has been reestablished - hope you can help..many thanks
Answer Hi Darren
Let's first rule out malware as the culprit. Please download HijackThis to your desktop from here:
http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HJTInstall.exe
Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
Click on the "Install" button.
Upon install, HijackThis should open for you.
Choose 'Do a system scan and save a log file'.
Copy the text file which opens in Notepad and paste it in a follow-up here.
Brian
