which is the best anti virus software which doesnt need internet connection.most s/w's ask for update of db.pls advice.Thanks

Answer
The only way to get an anti-virus that does not need an internet connection is to go to a store and buy a program. You will still need the internet to update it. Maybe it will already have the virus you have in it's database?
I've heard Avast is good. I'd stay away from Norton's and McAfee. On the other question I gave you a link for AVG free edition. But you will have to download it.
