Question
Hi,
im running windows PRO sp2
ive tried running windows defender, mcafee, ad-aware, and spybot s&d and all failed to fix the problem
I know i for sure have something.
but im not sure how to get rid of it
it masks the lsass.exe program
im going to try to give as much information on it as i can.

as you can see there are two of them, also if you see anything else out of the ordinary please tell me.
ive tried using mcafee and windows defender and they fix it but it just the virus just come back in a couple of second and is detected again.

Hi Logan,
I saw three things that should be removed.
1-c:\WINDOWS\Fonts\lsass.exe
2-O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [lsass] c:\WINDOWS\Fonts\lsass.exe
3-O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [lsass] c:\WINDOWS\Fonts\lsass.exe /RunOnce
Make sure you disable System Restore before deleting them. Once deleted, reboot, verify that they have been removed, then enable System Restore.
Another way would be to use Internet Explorer, go to:
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym
Click the GO button, then under Virus Detection, click Start. You might be told that you need to download and install ActiveX Controls for the scan to work, answer Yes.
Write down exactly anything it finds, then go to: http://www.symantec.com/search/ and do a search for what was found. Symantec usually has a removal tool and/or directions for removing manually. Make sure that you follow the instructions for removal, step by step, especially the part regarding disabling System Restore.
