Please give me some more information about using Zone Alarm. How do I know how to set this to know what things should not be accessing the internet? In other words,how do I set it up?

Right after installing it will ask if you want it to scan and see how you connect to the internet. Other than that I just use the default settings and when it pops up a warning message at the bottom right of the screen I just read what is trying to access the internet. If it is something you are familiar with (Example: Internet Explorer is trying to access the internet and you just opened IE you would click "remember this setting" and click allow). After awhile it will not bother you as much because you will have everything set.

Short answer: I just use the default settings.
