Question
A couple of weeks ago, a popup came up that looked like from microsoft, and showed a scan starting and reporting spyware.  I must have hit ok when I thought I killed the window.  the program showed installed and I tried to delete but was protected when I tried windows explored and could see the folder called av2009.  I have Panda 2009 version installed and ran a scan.  It deleted the program but the popups continued whenever internet explored started.  Ran the scan several times and it found adscan2009.htm in temp internet files.  No luck.  Went to Panda website and followed instructions provided.  For Windows XP, disable _recover funtion.  Download and install patch, IE7-WindowsXP-KB960714-x86-ENU.  Ran scan again.  No luck, popups keep coming back.  Problem is getting worse, IE7 will not fully load my homepage amymore, www.excite.com.  There are windows/panes that have error 'cannot display page'.  Most other links I try will not load either.  
I sent earlier message but apologize since I did not read fully the instructions.  I have downloaded hiJack and have attached the log file below.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you,

Hi Jim

Please run a Malwarebytes scan, preferably in Safe Mode.  Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop from here:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
* then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.  Do not run a scan yet.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode by continuously tapping the F8 key on boot until a black screen with a menu appears.  Choose to Start Windows in Safe Mode.  Log on as usual.  Open Malwarebytes and run a Full Scan.

* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.  Save that log and reboot.
* Post me a copy of that scan log and a new HJT log in a follow-up.
