Question
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 w/WinXP.  Bought this new printer & every time I print, I get a Notepad Log File for ea. document (HPPDEVX.DLL).  How can I get rid of this?  Thanks, Alida.  Here's the message:

GetXmlFile.cpp: SendHttpViaUsb> OpenBulk worked on first try
GetXmlFile.cpp: SetupLogging> ******** Start of Response from device ********
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>  <ProductName>HP LaserJet P2055dn</ProductName>  <PrinterNumber>CE459A</PrinterNumber>  <ServiceID>19008</ServiceID>  <MaxPrintResolution>0</MaxPrintResolution>  <DuplexInstalled>1</DuplexInstalled>  <IPAddress>0.0.0.0</IPAddress>  <IPv6Status>1</IPv6Status>  <HardwareAddress>00:1F:29:20:90:50</HardwareAddress></ProductInformation>
GetXmlFile.cpp: SetupLogging> ******** End of Response from device ********

Answer
I know Windows does keep log files of every print job. They are usually hidden. Try going to Control Panel> Folder options> View tab and see if you have show hidden files or maybe even a printer log file checked.
This is if you have Win 2000 or XP. I'm unsure if this is the same in Vista.
Another possible fix is this is doing this due to bad communication between the printer and the computer. Try replacing the USB cable from the printer to the computer.

Let me know if any of this helped.
