HOW CAN WE REBOOT AN INFECTED COMPUTER WHEN RE-BOOTING ON A SAVE MODE OR NORMAL MODE THIS COMPUTER SCREEN BECOMES GRAY AND THE ONLY THING THAT WE HAVE IS THE MOUSE ARROW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN  
(IT CAN BE MOUVED,BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO CHOOSE FROM). IS THERE ANY WAY TO RESTART IT? TO RUN AN ANTI VIRUS. THIS COMPUTER WAS SUPOSSED TOBE PROTECTED . AND CAN IT BE DONE WITHOUT LOOSING ANY FILES OR PERSONAL FOLDERS?

Hi Leslie,

Sounds like the computer got a virus that turned off any protection that was installed. Your best bet would be to take it to thelocal repair shop, have them backup anything of importance, and do a clean install of Windows.

Once you get it back working, install a good anti-virus program, update it and run a scan once a week.
