Computer Security & Viruses/SOLUTION: HPPDEVX.DLL LOG FILE

Question
Keith:  I thought you might want to know the solution I found to this problem, in case someone else asks you about it. (You'll find my initial post to you here:  http://en.allexperts.com/q/Computer-Security-Viruses-1737/2009/1/HPLJ-P2055dn-Pr...).  I installed an XP PCL5e driver on my HP printer (it came with a PCL6e driver.)  I test-printed over a half-dozen times and the pesky HPPDEX.DLL file did NOT pop up.  I hope it stays away!  (You may recall we tried changing the USB cable but that did not fix the problem.)

Answer
I appreciate you getting back with me about the solution you found. I'm just sorry I could not help you more in finding the solution. Just so I'll know in the future. Did the disk that came with the printer have the wrong driver on it or did XP not have the proper driver on it?
