QUESTION: Dear Sir,

I have configured a VPN Server in Win 2000 which will connect all my senior management in my local area network. Sir, everything is working fine, the only problem I am facing is blocking ports, incoming of Trojans and viruses. Sir, I have tried many software firewalls such zone alarms, kerio e.t.c .

Kindly guide me how can I make my network more secure as I receive a hell lots of spy wares from the static IP.

Sir, I am not permitted to use any physical firewall. Therefore kindly guide me how and what to use to stop these stuff and save my network.

ANSWER: Dear Vivek,

You mention Zone Alarm and Kerio, and many others, but don't say why none of them worked for you.

And, Trojans and viruses, but Firewalls don't block or detect viruses. They also don't detect or block all Trojans. Hopefully, you have an anti-virus application with online monitoring protection and just didn't mention it.

If you can use a software Firewall, please install the one you liked best right away. Then I help you configure it in the advanced or expert mode.

Dear Vivek,

Can't tell if you have the Firewall and anti-virus combined, or just one of them.
