Hello,
Today i got a virus called privacy center, i was able to delete it with instructions found on the web. I have also had a virus called jucheck.exe, its Java, or it pretends to be. Anyway i did something similar and was able to delete that as well. I understand that these are common viruses if i was able to find so much on how to remove them, but what effect did they have on my computer? I deleted privacy center right away but jucheck.exe i have had on my computer for a long time. Also, are there other common viruses that Norton doesn't delete? Such as jucheck.exe? Oh one more thing, how do i know that i have properly removed these two? What should i look out for to avoid these viruses? I think that the majority come from watching TV shows online through megavideo routing websites like surfthechannel.com and cucirca.com.

Hi Max

Over at MajorGeeks Forum there is a great checklist to follow that will allow you to check your puter out.

If you have any problems or questions after that, you can register and submit to them.
They are great people there and will help you.
They will have you dnload a program called Hijack This , and after running it, submit the log results to them.
