Question
My laptop only gets internet connection via a router hooked up to my desktop OR when I go to a place that has WiFi. Do I need to worry about viri, and all those other worrisome things?

Answer
Hi Chas,

Whenever your computer is on-line, you still must be concerned about viruses and other threats. If you don't have an anti-virus program installed, do yourself a favor and do so. AVG is one othe better free programs available, check it out at:

You might want to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware also:

Keep AVG or any AV program you use up to date and run a scan once a week.

Hope this helps!

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
