Computer Security & Viruses/Norton & Ad aware

Question
Hello,

I have Norton Antivirus 2005 installed for my virus protection.

I just downloaded the free edition of Ad-Aware for spyware/adware protection. Will this interfere with my Antivirus on can they co-exist?

Answer
They can co-exist.
In the future I would recommend AVG anti-virus. It is free, will detect viruses better than Norton's, and uses less system resources.
I would also recommend Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware and trojans. You can run it and Adaware at the same time. The advantage it gives you over Adaware is real time detection. Here are the links for both programs: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html
