Hi Keith,
We have an excel file that we frequently update.  Recently we opened it to find that it is BLANK.  It is as-if some just opened a new worksheet and saved-as.  I don't think my husband or I could have accidently done something so obvious as this.  The only thing that I did since the last excel save was run 'Ad-Aware' and Spybot back to back.  There were some item they found, but is it possibly that this somehow could have anything to w/ it?  I'm scared to run these programs now because I'm not sure what/who the real culprit is.

That is very weird. I've never heard of this happening before. I've used spybot and adaware for years along with excel and have never had them do anything to excel files.
The only thing I know to do to try and recover the data is try to do system restore.
Have you tried it already?
