Computer Security & Viruses/How can I delete Norton Anti Virus

I have a Sony computer and a Windows XP and I also have Norton Anti Virus which just takes up space and it doesn't work unless I pay for it. I installed a better program for free and I would like to uninstall Norton anti virus and delete it yet it doesn't want to be uninstalled, so how can I uninstall it?

You are correct that Norton is very difficult to uninstall completely.  To that end, Symantec has developed a Norton Removal Tool, which cleans everything up.  You don't say which version of Norton you have, but you can follow the instructions a download the tool from here:
