Hi

Are you able to let me know whether running McAfee version 7.1 and Max Secure Spyware Detector 2009 together on my laptop,is OK please?

I'm using Windows XP home edition.

No way I could tell you that (lol).

Would need a PC exactly like yours in every way, and then put McAfee and Max on it and test it for a few weeks.

In other words, you just have to try it.

Checking "reviews" might also help too (If you already have McAfee, asking the question on their help forum might also provide reliable answers: http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/

Basically, not much reliable information is available about product compatibility issues.

The exception: some software have known issues; using a search engine with specific product name(s), can yield reliable results.

Not an expert on software conflicts or which Firewall, anti-virus or anti-spyware application is best; will no longer answer these questions. Thanks for helping me see this, ratings (don't agree with you about "knowledge" though.
