I am sending my question to you after sending it to another expert because it relates to antivirus software. I bought a new computer recently that came with Vista and Norton 360. After reading negative reviews, I decided to uninstall it and download a free antispyware program recommended on download.com. I was unable to install the antispyware software due to an error message and now I am also unable to connect to my DSL. I can only imagine I messed something up by uninstalling Norton 360 or it is a big coincidence. The DSL modem was checked and is ok. Also, we tried to restore to an hour earlier and now have Norton 360 again but can't use it!

I'll be happy to help.  First, from the computer you are using now, download the Norton Removal Tool from here:

Save the tool to a CD or thumb drive, then take it to the other computer and run the tool.  After that, let me know if you are still having connection problems.
