so what I can do I know its only McAfee what created problem
ANSWER: Hi Vish,
Am assuming that you are using Windows XP, if correct, go to the following site, scroll down until you see Windows XP, download the update:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922582
After that, go to Windows Update and download the available updates, including SP3.
If you cannot do the above, start Windows in Safe Mode, and run a virus scan. If you cannot McAfee to run, download AVG on a working computer, put it on a CD, then install and run it on your computer.

QUESTION: thanks a lot
actually my problem is solved before I got your answer, what I did is that I manually removed its files and folders but 2 files I couldn't remove but then I reinstalled mcafee. I don't remember clearly but there were 2 options in installation what I didn't uncheck first time but this time I unchecked them and it didn't show any problem in installation , as far as I remember 1 option was mentioning about server stuff and other was to add a mcafee tool on webpage
But now I want to know one thing from you that in future if we can't remove folders of uninstall programs like this directly because it still says for some files are being used so can't delete/remove so how we should remove them In past also I faced this problem with Norton I uninstall it properly but still its folders remains in its past location
and how to know which Antivirus is good?
thanks
AnswerHi Vish,
You can either do what I suggested earlier or you can start Windows in Safe Mode to uninstall programs. BTW, Norton has a removal tool available if uninstalling doesn't go right for one reason or another.

Personally I prefer an anti-virus program that will protect Windows but also remove any threats it finds in a scan. McAfee and Norton will do that, as I'm sure that other programs that you pay for will. The main thing is to keep the program up to date and run a scan once a week.
Hope this helps!
