Hi - I am unable to connect to the internet at all on my PC (Windows XP Home; IE). When I attempt to go online, all I get is a blank page. I contacted my ISP provider and went through all their suggestions; the internet connection is secure and working fine (I am using it at the moment with my laptop). He suggested that I had probably been hijacked, but anti-virus and ad-aware came back negative for threats.
I cannot connect at all to the internet, so I can't download any programs that might help. Please help, I am at a total loss as to how to combat this problem. Thank you.

Hi Meredith

You don't say which version Internet Explorer you are using, but let's first try the following:

Click Start->Run-> then type in the following command:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll‏

Hit Enter, then restart IE.

If that does not help, follow the same procedure for each of the following commands, restarting IE after each one:

regsvr32 actxprxy.dll

regsvr32 scrrun.dll‏

regsvr32 msxml.dll‏

regsvr32 mshtml.dll‏

regsvr32 shdocvw.dll‏

regsvr32 browseui.dll

regsvr32 msjava.dll‏

regsvr32 urlmon.dll‏

If none work, let me know so that we can try to troubleshoot further.
