Question QUESTION: I need to know how to bring back the subjects typed in the subject box when composing mail. I want to see every subject typed in. I have a Dell. Until a few weeks ago, it was working, then stopped when I caught my husband writing to other women. So, naturally while we are healing, I have to police his use of the internet. Can you help? I am sure that he turned it off, but I want to view it again.
ANSWER: Hi Amy
I just need to know the email client you are using (Outlook, Windows Mail, etc...) and the operating system, and I'll be happy to help you out here.

QUESTION: It is yahoo. I am not sure about the operating system. We use Micorsoft Internet Explorer. Let me know if I still need to find more info. Thanks again. Amy
ANSWER: Hi Amy
I believe that you were seeing Internet Explorer's AutoComplete feature. If you have recently updated to the new IE8, this feature may have been turned off. Try this to change AutoComplete settings:
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under AutoComplete, click Settings.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.
Click OK twice.
Hope that helps. Cheers!

QUESTION: Hey! It did not work! What do I do now? Is there any way to keep the History from being deleted or can it be saved to another site without anyone knowing?
Answer Hi Amy
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've tried using my own Yahoo mail account to test using the Subject line. I do not receive any drop-down when typing. So I went ahead and contacted Yahoo, and here's the Chat:
Chat InformationPlease wait for a Yahoo! agent to respond.
Chat InformationYou are now chatting with Santi
Santi: Hi, Brian! Welcome to our Yahoo! Mail Live Chat service. I'm glad you've joined us.
Santi: Thank you for providing us the details of your issue.
Brian: Hi Santi
Santi: In my understanding, you are unable to see now the previously typed Subjects on your Subject field. Is this correct?
Brian: yes, that is correct
Santi: I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Santi: Just to verify, is "xxxxxxxx" the Yahoo! ID you are using?
Brian: No inconvenience...it just saved some time when sending mail, and yes, that is correct ID
Santi: The feature or functionality that you're describing is not currently available.
Santi: However, our Engineering and Marketing teams want to hear from you about what you would like to see enhanced in Yahoo! Mail.
Santi: As a workaround, you can try using Firefox browser.
Brian: I will send my suggestions, thank you. And I do use Firefox.
Santi: It has an added feature that can do that but once you clear your browsers cache and cookies it will not function.
Santi: You are most welcome.
Santi: Please be assured that we will keep your concern in mind as we improve the Yahoo! Mail Plus service.
Brian: OK, I guess that takes care of it...appreciate the help
Notice how Santi avoided the question of the feature being removed. Whether it's a permanent change, I can't say, but it seems like you won't be able to use it to check the messages sent, at least for the foreseeable future. But the Firefox suggestion does make sense, as it does have an AutoComplete feature built in. Another suggestion would be to use a third party program, like Outlook, to retrieve and send mail. But I think that the hubby would quickly conclude that you were monitoring him, so unfortunately you are out of luck for now. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
