Hi,
I'm an experienced computer user and complete necessary maintenance often on our comp. But it has been running slowly lately and not fluid. I use Adaware and Malwarebytes anti malware along with the Avast virus control. What are some things I can do to clean up and help the computer to work more efficiently?

The programs you are using are very good. Probably what may help is to use something like Ccleaner. You can download it from the following link. Ccleaner is a great program for cleaning "junk" from your computer. It also has a good registry cleaner built-in. According to what operating system you have I can also recommend www.blackviper.com for service and other tweaks.
