Computer Security & Viruses/computer will not boot up at all

Question
my computer is not coming on after blowing out the dust on the vents.

Answer
Hi Pam

It is possible that one of the RAM sticks or a PCI card may have come out of it's socket during cleaning.  With the computer unplugged, make sure everything is tight inside and no wires have become detached.  If there is still no sign of life after that, you are correct that it may be a goner.  Depending on the age of the computer and parts, it may or may not be cost effective to have it repaired.  If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
