Question
My operating system is vista and it has been infected by Win32/Heur and tanatos virus.I have installed the AVG 8.5.The virus has infected nearly all application files(.exe) files that includes the games on my computer and software applications.The Avg has detected some files but it cant heal them and has stored all the files in the virus vault.Is there a way that I can get rid of these viruses without loosing my files?

Please let me know the results.

There's quite a few search engine results about the viruses. (remove Win32/Heur and tanatos virus). Not knowing what other anti-malware applications are on your system, it might help to review some of them to see if any might help you resolve the problem based on your specific system configuration.

I would first download and install and run a-squared free or paid, and run it twice, removing threats and rebooting both times (or Superantispyware). Let me know the results if you do this too.
