Question
Hello, again,
I asked a question earlier today about

trying to eleminate the Personal

Antivirus from my computer...You

suggested a couple of sites. I

downloaded free software which

detected my spyware/viruses.. Is there

a FREE program that will eliminate

them??? Or do I have to purchase a

program in order to do this?
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Wayne!

Free for personal use on one PC, the free edition is supposed to detect AND remove it.

It didn't? Did you run a complete system scan? Did you run it twice? I've given this advice before and it worked for others.

I'd recommend Spyware Doctor, but to get the free edition you must download the Google Pack, something you might not want to do.

You can also manually remove it: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-personal-antivirus.html
If you need assistance with the manual instructions, just let me know.

And, some have reported removing it Combofix: with http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

I'm also wondering what anti-virus and Firewall programs you're using. If you'd like, please let me know. It's possible Malwarebytes wasn't allowed full access to all the necessary system files.
