I  recently had these warnings  when I was using firefox 3.5 on my macbookpro that I had viruses How do I check to see wether I do have viruses? Everything seems ok

The following site has a few anti-virus programs for Macs:

Most of the people I asked about this said they liked ClamXav 1.1.1e951 the best.

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
