My Uncle passed leaving his computer.  It seems to have many problems.  One it still runs when I shut it down and should be off.  I can get up the next morning and just press space bar and get on internet.  This is after I close everything and shut down for the day.

Another problem My mouse keeps going off (laser light goes off and does nothing).  Nothing seems to be wrong with the mouse itself and looks fairly new.  If I unplug from computer it (computer) dings and then plug back in it dings and then works for a few more minutes until I repeat - this problem has recently started.
Computer has always been very slow - I got it in Jan.  Connected to cable internet.
Computer freezes often and I have to turn off and for some reason unplug from outlet to do that and restart.

There are a few items in the log which are considered malware, so let's begin by downloading Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop from here:

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end of the install process, be sure to:
o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Next, click the box to run a Full Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.  Save that log to your desktop.  
* Reboot the computer.
* Post me the MBAM log and a new scan log from HijackThis.

Hi Mom

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!  I just need a new HijackThis scan log from you.  Malwarebytes' deleted quite a bit of adware.  So a new HJT log will tell me if there are any remnants to clean up.  Also, please give me an update on how the computer is running now.  Thanks.
