Question
QUESTION: Don't know what changed.  I cannot access internet options through tools menu (menu drops and disappears).  Need to change security settings and cannot get to it because of the problem.  Can you help, please?
Also having a Java problem.  The logo does not show on control panel.  Cannot access Pogo games.
Thank you for your kindness.

ANSWER: Are you referring to the IE browser? Which version are you using. Are you able to access the Windows Updates site and access all available critical updates?

Are all critical security updates successfully installed (after rebooting)?

What's your system, Firewall, anti-virus (always running) and anti-spyware applications you actually update and scan with a least once every 1-2 weeks?

You could in the past access Pogo. Can you recall any changes made to your system or applications since your problems began? Did you access it through Java in your control panel, or just Pogo directly via a game on your computer, or over the Internet? Did the Pogo problem start about the same time IE tools became inaccessible?

Also, do you use Spybot R&D Advanced features  - Tools-IE tweaks?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I believe I am using IE browser 6.
I download SOME critical updates.
I use Microsoft tune up, clean up, etc.
Seems I had problems with Pogo (disappeared from Control Panel) after I downloaded what they said I needed to play games.  Cannot remove 6.20 downloads (said I need to find the right path).
Know nothing about Tools IE tweaks and used to have Spybot but not now.
Hope this helps.
I know originally SP1 contained Pogo.  Cannot get it without paying for it.  I am 80 on limited income, terminally ill.  Without java program, I am limited.
Anything you can do to help will be sincerely appreciated. Sorry for the delay in responding...computer was slow and I am very ill.

Answer
Some websites have dropped support for IE6 - even some of Googles services:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Explorer_6
You should upgrade - which may involve upgrading your system. Also, all critical updates need to be successfully installed. Reboot and try again if an update doesn't install.

I still need.

1. System you're using XP2 or 3? Home, Pro or other exact version.
2. Exact version name and number of Microsoft tune up. Not sure if you're using something made by Microsoft or just something "called" MS tune up.
3. Spybot is completely removed from your system?
4. Do you used a temporary files cleaner?
5. What do you mean SP1 contained Pogo? You upgraded to XP2 or 3 and lost it?
6. What is you anti-virus program?
7. What firewall are you using?
If you can't provide this info Jeane, would love to help you fix everything, but that's done via private support. Sounds like your problems aren't just spyware, toolbars, or a virus. Not sure exactly what you'd like fixed via this site, but fixing Java may take some serious work (sorry about your condition).

Will do my best to provide detailed info in next post about what to do next - with the above info - or see Enrgy21.com's support page.
