Question
I was wondering if you could tell me where I can find a free anti-virus software download that is safe and secure.  I would also like to scan my computer for viruses, but I don't know if certain scans are safe or not.  I would really appreciate your response.  Thanks.

I recommend the free Avira Anti-Vir which can be found here:

You should never have more than one virus scanner program installed on your system at the same time.  Anti-Vir is a very complete scanner and is safe to use.  For additional scans such as spyware and adware, try the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

Real-time protection is only found in the paid version, but you can update and run scans on-demand for free.
