Computer Security & Viruses/Blue page fault

Question
QUESTION: Hi Ramon
I hope you may be able to help me.
Fault:
Periodically, I experience a blue page fault, (ONLY WHEN CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET) it appears without warning, and shuts down the computer which then reboots on its own.
I feel that it may be connected to Internet Explorer but cant be sure. At other times, again when connected to the internet everything just seems to go to sleep, and it is necessary to shut down and reboot. Is this something to do with Internet Explorer?

Hope you can assist.

Regards

Paddy

ANSWER: hi paddy

first things first. go to control panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

take a look at the application and system logs. check errors and let me know which are the most relevant ie: check time and see if it was logged in the same time the error was given.
