Hi, I am hoping that you can help me. I can not get the scanner, to communicate with the computer, I get a message" can not communicate with the scanner"  when I called cannon they said that i was missing a twain_32 folder, and i needed to create it in order for the scanner to work. Can u help me? I have windos xp. I kind of remember that about a year ago or so, I deleted a bunch of programs that i though I did no needed, and i wonder if I deleted this folder by mistake. Thanks

Have you tried reinstalling the scanner software?

The following post gives a step by step guide to uninstalling/reinstalling, but you might try Repair (Add/Remove Programs) first (if the scanner and Repair option is showing there).

Using the words: twain_32 folder canon scanner (or variations) will provide many search engine results, one of which might seem like the right one for you.

But from what you've said, hopefully the re-installation will do it.
