QuestionDear Mr.Brian,
My computer does continuous repairing again and again when an Anti virus software is installed. I have windows7 which is not Genuine.Replaced the hard disk and and tried again but still the problem exists. The service technician says that the problem might be in mother board. He checked RAM also and says its fine.Is it correct that the mother board problem is there. Please advise how to fix this problem. If i use Genuine software will the problem be solved?
Many thanks..

AnswerHi Suresh,
Saw your question, thought perhaps this could solve the problem. Try running the free scan from Symantec, you must use Internet Explorer for this scan to work:
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=CGJ...
Click on Continue to Symantec Security Check. Under Virus Detection, click Start, accept the End-User Agreement. It will ask you a few times to permission to install Active X Controls, answer yes. Once you see that the program is actually scanning, leave the computer alone until the scan is finished.
Once the scan is done, write down exactly anything it finds, then go to:
http://www.symantec.com/search/
and do a search for what was found. Symantec usually has a removal tool and/or directions for removing manually. Make sure that you follow the instructions for removal, step by step, especially the part regarding disabling System Restore.
I would also suggest downloading Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from:
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag...
Check for updates after downloading Malwarebytes before running a scan.
If one of the above doesn't do the trick, you might have to update the BIOS.
Hope this helps!
