Computer Security & Viruses/Decompression bomb

I was doing a scan with avast on my computer and it came up some files cannot be scanned when i clicked on results it said i had a decompression bomb what is this and how does it affect my computer?
Also what is the best anti-virus firewall software

To my knowledge Avast is a highly rated anti-virus. For a firewall, if you are not behind a router, I have used ZoneAlarm. It is free and good. It will bug you to death until you get it set properly.
