QUESTION: hi lorry :)
i want to know about viruses and its type. i've studied the five types of viruses: boot sector, file infector, multipartite, macro and script virus. but i could hardly understand those...., so could you please help me? want to know about the common characteristics of viruses too?

Your best bet would be to do a search on Google for each thing, for example:

boot sector virus
file infector virus
multipartite virus
macro and script virus
common characteristics of viruses

Hi Smile,

If you are in an area where the electric power fluctuates or where there are electrical storms it is a good idea to use a good power surge protector or a UPS. The surge protector is exactly that, it protects your equipment from a surge of power. A UPS, which has a battery backup, allows you about 1/2 hour to finish what you are doing and to shut down the computer correctly.

Regarding which AV program is the best, what it basically comes down to is whichever program is used, keep it up to date and run a virus scan once a week.
