How to download and install free antivirus for PCs?
Hi Partha,
As an example to download the free version of AVG, go to:
http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage
Click on "GET FREE ANTIVIRUS", on the next page click "DOWNLOAD" under "Free*", on the next page click "DOWNLOAD", on the next page click "Download Now AVG Anti-virus Free Edition", if using Internet Explorer you might have to allow the site to download by clicking the beige bar on top where it says "Click here for options", click "Download file". At this point a dialog box will pop-up asking if you want to Run or Save this file, click Run. If you click Save make sure you make a notation of where it is being downloaded to so you may install it. From there just follow the online instructions.
Make sure that you keep the program up to date and to run a scan once a week.
