Question
I just installed Avira on my laptop.  It told me I have Malware. SRebates.dll it moved it to a quarantine file but how do I remove it?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Pam

The file cannot harm your PC if it has been quarantined.  Basically, Avira takes the file, renames it, then places it in a secure folder that cannot be accessed normally by Windows.  This is done for several reasons, but can be deleted completely by opening Avira, clicking on Administration, then clicking on Quarantine.  Select the file and click the Delete button above it.
Also, you should make sure that you run a complete scan in Safe Mode.  This file can infect other system files, so you need to make sure the whole system is scanned.
