Question
Hello Brian,
My Windows Live OneCare is about to expire in a couple days and they aren't doing any subscriptions anymore as you probably know. So my question is, what is a good FREE anti-virus system that notifies you when you go on a website that has a virus and stops them like One Care does? Thanks in advance

Answer
Hi Rod

Since you have been a user of OneCare, I recommend that you switch over to it's replacement, Microsoft Security Essentials.  It's also free, and has gotten very good reviews from the security pros.  It includes a real-time protection engine for detection of immediate threats.  Read the CNET and user reviews below:

You can download from there or directly from Microsoft:

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
