Computer Security & Viruses/follow-up

Question
QUESTION: I asked to many follow-ups and had to start over.

I tried fixing the HJT again but when I did a new scan

O23 - Service: My Web Search Service (MyWebSearchService) - Unknown owner - C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwssvc.exe (file missing)

still comes up.  Also I completed the Vista System File Checker it says: Windows Resources Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.  Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

ANSWER: Hi Pam

I am currently going over your ComboFix and HJT logs from the other post.  Please tell me how the computer is running today (pop-ups, errors, etc...).

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: The computer seems to be working faster.  Some things that were causing errors I uninstalled and reinstalled like live messenger and open office.  I uninstalled our Logitec webcam because it was giving me errors, when I reinstall it I am told:  Registry editor stopped working and was closed and C:\Windows\System32\ulib.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.  It is currently uninstalled.

So as of now (without Logitec installed) I am not getting any error messages.  But, I am still getting the taskeng.exe pop-up.

Answer
Hi Pam

Start HJT and click the Misc Tools section.  Click the Generate Startup List button.  Save the notepad log that opens.  It may be too long to post here, so send it as an attachment to me at numbersix6@yahoo.com.  Also, are you still unable to run Windows Update?
