Like a fool I recently came across something called security tool or security IS and downloaded it thinking that I could help protect my computer. I now know that it was a virus that poses as such. Now my computer keeps saying that a worm is preventing me from using anything. I've tried going onto it in safe mode with networking and removed all the files having to do with this program. But for some reason my internet isn't working so I can't get on the internet in order to get some real anti-virus software and get rid of the rest. Please throw some ideas my way because I'm about to have to have someone wipe my computer otherwise. thanks

Try downloading Power Eraser for free from:

http://us.norton.com/theme4.jsp?themeid=free_tools_trials2

If you cannot do that, using a different computer - download Norton™ AntiVirus 2011 Trial Software from:

http://us.norton.com/downloads/trialsoftware/offer.jsp?pvid=nav2011

Put it onto a CD, then install on the infected computer.
