Question
i am running AVAST Anti-virus and everyday a TrojonHorse is found so i send it to Virus chest, and delete the file. i then go into temp file and delete the originating temp file. so why do i keep having a TrojanHorse pop up? please help me.running windows xp

Answer
Try turning off system restore, then running Avast. After detecting, removing, reboot - Run Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, Windows Defender. Emisoft, or Lavasoft Ad-aware... There are several more reputable ones. You might search for top 10 or 5 anti-spyware software.

Spybot is good to have and run at least once a week, and Lavasoft Ad-aware is fine too.

I can't tell you how many you should have of these, but one of the 1st 5 and Spybot R&D  - links on enrgy21.com, direct or use search engine.

If I know the Trojan name, I might be able to identify more precisely what it is and where. Please post it if still present after new scan(s).

If Trojan removed, restart system restore and reboot.
