ANSWER: Hi Ken

Thank you for the info.  This error is a common one with Dell systems.  There was a bug in the uninstall routine for the Sonic program installed on those computers.  There are several fixes for this, but let's try the one from Sonic first.  Download the hotfix file from here:

http://tools.roxio.com/support/dell/isum_hotfix.exe

Once downloaded, run the file.  Restart the computer and let me know if the message still pops up.

Hi, I down loaded the hot fix, but Im still get the pop up, please help

thanks

Ken

Answer
Hi Ken,

Sorry to hear the hotfix did not work.  Let's try removing the leftover remnants of the program.  Download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from here:

http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=4459&file=15&evp=fe1c76da3437592326a3d6

Run the utility and remove all of the Sonic modules you find.  After doing so, restart and hopefully the pop-ups are gone.
