i have a pc with 1.70GHz celeron processor & with 504mb RAM,i also extended RAM with eboostr ,please suggest me which antivirus is best for my pc performance & security?

Avast is a great and free program available at:

Make sure that it is kept up to date and to run a scan once a week.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool.

If you want real time protection, you will have to pay for it, but if update once a week and run a scan afterwards, there is really no reason to purchase it.

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
