Question
QUESTION: I am using my laptop. On my PC there is a blue page that pops up covering the entire screen that says-Cyberlink Power DVD-when I click the x in the top corner, it closes then opens up again and when I click the second time it closes for good. Cannot find out where it came from or what it is attached to. Do you think it is a virus? If not do you know how I can get rid of it? Didn't seem to be having any other problems.
Thanks for any help.

ANSWER: Hi joan,

It will help it I know the exact version. You obviously have the software on your system. Find it in All Programs, click and open it. Looks for Tools, or Configuration, or Options, and see if there's a setting for stopping the popup. Doesn't sound like you use Cyberlink. If you use another DVD player, you can remove Cyberlink too, via Add/Remove Programs.

The following are some links that addressed similar (or the same problem) other had. Again, not knowing the version it's hard to tell you more.

ANSWER: HI Joan,

No problem (I was trying to be funny).
So what did you do so far? Can you tell the version name/number?  Do you use Cyberlink to play or record DVD's.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: No I have never used Cyberlink. I have used Windows Media Player. I followed instructions on the FixYa web site to uninstall, and it seemed to work. This sure is a persistent thing! Don't know the version. Maybe, if I could find out how to use it I would join rather than fight, but can't even find out how to do that.

Answer
No need to sign up. We can get it off. Go to Add/Remove Programs, find it there, uninstall and reboot. If you have a temp file cleaner, use it. If not, try CCleaner link on my Enrgy21.com/tools page. If you use it, just use the default setting for cleaning the temp files until you have a chance to study the configuration settings better. Reboot again after cleaning.
