Question
I have four computers in my house, 2 laptops running windows 7, one pc running xp pro and one pc running vista.

I have a wireless network, netgear 802.11, it is several years old.

Currently, my network is not secured.

How can I secure my wireless network?

Thank you.

Answer
Log onto the Netgear router and set up the wireless security. You can do WPA or WEP. It will be encrypted and password protected. You will just need to put the settings in your other computers and all computers will be able to connect with no one from outside jumping on too.
Consult the netgear site or manual for the IP address to log onto the router with. You will just open up your internet browser and type the IP address in the address bar. I think netgear maybe 192.168.0.1?
